Juried Exhibitions 2019
The San Diego County Fair (SD Fair) Exhibition of Photography is one of the largest and oldest printed photographic competitions in North America. In 2019, we had 16 images showcased across 15 categories winning 1 First Place (Spring Category), 1 Second Place (Still Life Category) and 7 Honorable Mentions.
The Orange County Fair (OC Fair) Visual Arts Contest is a juried photography exhibition open to residents of California. In the summer of 2019, we ended up with 1 Second Place award in the Creative Black & White Photo category.
Juried Exhibitions 2018
The San Diego County Fair (SD Fair) Exhibition of Photography is one of the largest and oldest printed photographic competitions in North America. This year we had 7 images showcased across 6 categories winning 1 Fourth Place (Night Category) and 3 Honorable Mentions.
The Orange County Fair (OC Fair) Visual Arts Contest is a juried photography exhibition open to residents of California. This summer we ended up with 1 Second Place award in the Creative Black & White Photo category and 1 Honorable Mention.
The California State Fair (Cal Expo) is more than 160 years old and the Photography Exhibition ran from July 13-29, 2018 and showcased the work of amateur artists from across the state. 4 of our images made it through this event with 1 Best of Division award, 1 First Place award and 2 Second Place awards.
In addition to the above, before we moved out of San Diego, we also attended 4 monthly local Poly Photo Club Meetings and received 2 First Place awards, 2 Second Place awards and 1 Third Place award in the End-of-the-Year Project Category.
Art Gallery Exhibit 2018
This year, we were also delighted to be part of the inaugural A Shot in the Park juried photography exhibition organized by the California State Parks Center in collaboration with the Southern California Association of Camera Clubs. The theme of the show was meant to celebrate iconic places within California State Parks and we were proud to have our image titled Mirror of Mono feature at the exhibition in the Liberty Station Arts District in San Diego.
Outdoor Photographer Magazine 2020
The Outdoor Photographer Magazine is a premier photography journal for more than 35 years with a focus on landscapes, wildlife and adventure travel. We were honored to have our image titled "The Belt of Venus on the Grand Canyon" adjudged as the winner of the Fall Sunsets Assignment category. You can read more about the image here.
